Blay­don breeze to win

RAM­PANT Blay­don ran in six tries while shut­ting out Kirkby Lons­dale to ex­tend their win­ning streak to five games.

Af­ter a num­ber of at­tempts to cross the line had been thwarted, the visitors ran in their first try when Nathan Bai­ley started and fin­ished a flow­ing move to reg­is­ter the first points of the game, James Guy ad­ding the con­ver­sion.

Nathan Hors­fall and Bai­ley com­bin­ing again 10 min­utes later with the same out­come and Guy once more on tar­get.

The home side held out for the re­main­der of the half but Blay­don were by far the more manc­ing.

James Cooney scored the third try, tak­ing the ball at the 22-me­tre line and tak­ing off at pace and rac­ing 70 me­tres for a su­perb score.

Both sides lost a player to the sin bin but Blay­don moved a back into the for­wards to re­tain their dom­i­na­tion and score three more tries.

Alex Clark fin­ished off a flow­ing move­ment and then from some ex­cel­lent in­ter­play be­tween backs and for­wards front-rower An­thony Har­vey drove over from close range.

In the clos­ing min­utes the scor­ing was com­pleted as Clark crossed for a sec­ond time, with Guy land­ing a third suc­cess­ful con­ver­sion.
