Charity shop for art

-

SHOPPERS can take a break and enjoy some art while raising cash for charity.

The Salvation Army is organising a photography exhibition at Dalton Park next month to raise funds for the Grace House Children’s Hospice Appeal.

The display will be housed in one of the units at the shopping outlet, featuring work that visitors can view from Monday until Friday, July 6.

The Grace House Children’s Hospice is being built in Southwick and will help youngsters with life- limiting illnesses and their families from across the North East.

Jerry Hatch, centre manager at Dalton Park, in Murton, said he is delighted to be able to support such a worthy cause.

He said: “Dalton Park is an integral part of the community and we put great emphasis on supporting local events and initiatives.

“To help the Salvation Army raise funds for Grace House Children’s Hospice Appeal is a privilege and I am sure this event will attract the generous support of our community and visitors.”
