Local firm offers free boilers through government scheme
A FREE boiler scheme could help save you money on your heating bills.
Pay As You Glow Heating Systems, based in Sunderland, supply central heating systems across Northumbria, Tyne and Wear and Durham.
Now the company can replace your boiler totally FREE of charge ( for those who meet a certain criteria) after it obtained funding to provide new Grade A energy efficient boilers through the new Energy Company Obligation ( ECO) boiler replacement grant scheme.
The scheme has been set up by the Government to help lower income and vulnerable households to have a warmer home by phasing out old and inefficient boilers.
Brian Gibson, managing director at Pay As You Glow Heating Systems, said: “We have been supplying boilers on our flexible payment schemes and wanted to offer more through the new ECO and Green Deal schemes. We are pleased to have met the strict criteria for funding and technical accreditation and we have employed additional staff and expanded our business premises to deal efficiently with all new enquiries.”
The scheme is not just for homeowners – people in rented accommodation or on benefits and living with relatives can also apply, paying nothing for the boiler and installation and saving money on heating bills.
You may be eligible if you qualify for State Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit, Income Related Employment and Support Allowance, Income- based Job Seekers Allowance or Income Support.
