UNBEATEN JOYCE KEEPS UP HIS PERFECT START

PRINS STILL LEADS THE WAY IN THE KNACK PREMIER LEAGUE, BUT THE CHASE IS ON

Dave Prins remains unbeaten at the top of the table of Seaham’s Knack Premier League after another couple of blistering displays.

First, he played Tyne and Wear’s Geordie Morton. Prins was in fine form as he dismantled Morton with winning legs of 14, 16x2, 17 and 18 darts, which was aided by 2x180s and a 104 checkout from Prins (30.93) and Morton getting his solitary leg in 18 darts.

Prins continued the same form in his second game as he played Matthew Hodgson and again he won by the same score line of 5-1, with best legs of 14, 15, 18x2 and 20 darts and his third 180 of the night,

Ryan Joyce continued his unbeaten run aswell, first he played David Brown and ran away an easy 5-0 winner,.

Next, he faced fellow Tyne and Wear team-mate Paul McGowan and came away with a 5-1 victory,

McGowan’s night got a lot better as he beat Neil Rose 5-3 in a thriller.

McGowan won his third game of the night 5-1.

Felling’s Dougie Hall won his first game of the night 5-3 in a thrilling contest.

He then played Richard Selby and the spoils were sharedina4-4draw.

Lee Walton and Rob McCluskey were involved in an epic battle which saw Walton come away a 5-3 victor.

Walton then beat John Allan by the same score in yet another high quality match.

Allan shared the spoils in his other game of the night against Davey Thompson.

Rob McCluskey will be rueing missed doubles as he was on the wrong end of a 5-3 result again at the hands of Spiller Henderson.

Davey Thompson was a comfortabl­e 5-0 winner over David Brown and Thompson ended his night on a high as he racked up another win, this time against Neil Mather as he came away a 5-3 winner.

Barry Rutherford had four games on the night and it didn’t go to plan for him as he suffered three 5-0 defeats and a 5-1 defeat.

First, it was Matthew Hodgson then Rutherford was beaten by Dan Gillibrand.

In his third game of the night,hewasbeate­n5-1by Andrew Ambler.

In his final game, Skelton defeatedRu­therford.
