It’s do or die time for Philadelphia

In Readers Durham Cricket League Division One, it’s do or die for Philadelphia as they entertain Burnopfield.

They are in mixed form for a side which showed much potential earlier in the season.

They trail the leaders by 76 points which is a huge amount of points to make up, but a win would help enormously, to try and bridge the gap.

Burnopfield are unchanged and at full strength.

Bill Quay on the other hand, are also finding a bit of form of late and have had three draws recently

against good opposition, particularly at Burnopfield last week.

They also beat Easington by 58 runs earlier in the season.

Quay are just seven points from safety and welcome back Mark Cuskeran who has been unavailable through work recently, but lose Mark Fish.

It’s looking grim for Hylton who travel to Seaham Park who are also not safe yet and another team in serious trouble are Crook Town.

Town entertain Durham City, who are unchanged and have no injury concerns, at Dawson Street.

Castle Eden are at home to Horden, who have had a good season so far and welcome back Jamie Forbes to strengthen the batting, but Ben Green is unavailable.

In the other fixture, Dawdon who are unchanged from last week, are at home to Esh Winning, with both teams comfortably in mid-table.

In Division Two, it’s derby day as Whiteleas & Harton make the short trip to Marsden.

Leas currently occupy second spot but are trailing leaders Littletown by 15 points.

League leaders Littletown, are unchanged and they visit Murton who are on the fringe of the title race.

Peterlee just four points behind Whiteleas & Harton, are at home to Evenwood and the other team with title ambitions are Ryhope, who are at home to Houghton.

Ushaw Moor entertain Langley Park and finally the bottom two in the league meet up with Boldon CA welcoming Silksworth to New Road.
