Top referee Mark Clattenburg sparked plenty of debate after it was revealed he is leaving the Premier League for a new role in Saudi Arabia.
And now football fans can hear from the man himself at a talk-in next month.
Seaham Coast Waves FC are hosting the fundraising evening on Thursday, March 2, in aid of supporting local youth football clubs.
Compere Mal Robinson will be hosting the evening, which will see Consett-born Clattenburg answer a range of questions as supporters learn about the man behind the whistle.
The 41-year-old is to be- come the new head of referees in Saudi Arabia and was initially expected to leave immediately, but he will continue in his role until the end of the current season.
The Premier League has confirmed he will take charge of Saturday’s match between West Brom and Bournemouth at The Haw- thorns.
Clattenburg, a Fifa referee since 2006, took charge of the Euro 2016 final, the Champions League final and the FA Cup final last season.
As well as the talk-in, the night will have pie and peas, a prize raffle and an auction.
The talk-in will be held at Seaham Masonic Hall, SR7 7AA at 8pm (doors open at 7pm).
