Two out of three ain’t bad for Thompson

Charlie Thompson produced two stunning winning performanc­es in the Golden Fleece Darts Premier League and in doing so, moved up to second in the table.

Thompson defeated Andy Clark 5-1, with winning legs of 20 and 21 (twice).

Thompson then went on to easily beat Norman Place 5-0, with winning legs of 18, 19 and 21 darts (three).

However, Thompson couldn’t make it three wins on the night after he lost 5-3 against Glen Woodbridge.

Woodbridge had winning legs of 15 (twice), 16, 18 and 20 darts, plus two 180s.

Jordon Thoms eased past Danny Cullen 5-2, enjoying the win with a 21-dart leg, and a 124 checkout.

Lee Rump drew with Denny Cullen in his first game, but then went on to beat Mark Reeves 5-2 in his second.

Rump had winning legs of 18, 19, 20 and 21 darts, plus a stunning 180.

Cullen replied with a 20-dart leg, with a great checkout of 116.

Adam Lafferty remains top of the league after a great 5-2 win over Marco Laybourn.

Lafferty had legs in 13, 15, 16 and 20 darts, plus a 180 and a checkout of 118.

Pete Wilson beat Don Green 5-0 with his best leg coming in 20 darts.

Andy Clark eased to a 5-0 success over Norman Place, enjoying a 21-dart leg, plus a great checkout of 129.

Steve Richardson beat Davey Mason 5-1 and Paul Moon defeated Kev Long 5-0.

Laybournbo­uncedback from an earlier defeat to beat Michael Davies 5-1. Finally, Steve Carr strolled to a 5-0 victory over Andy Clark.
