Brewing up new market
beer aisle across 18 Booths stores in the North West and Cumbria including Fulwood, Windermere, Settle, Keswick and Penrith.
Autumn Brewing Co founder Peter Briggs said: “We’re thrilled to announce that our Alt Brew range will be appearing on the shelves in Booths.
“To have our beers stocked in such a well -respected supermarket chain so soon after our launch is very exciting and it’s a sign of great things to come.
“While Autumn Brewing Co is dedicated to producing high-quality, great tasting beers using naturally gluten-free ingredients, our Alt Brew range is aimed at all beer drinkers – not just those who observe a gluten-free diet, which is why the beers will be positioned in the craft beer section rather than the freefrom section of the Booths stores.
“We hope our brands will wow beer drinkers in the North West.”
The range currently consists of Alt Brew No.01 Bavarian-style pilsner, which has been shortlisted in the FreeFrom Food Awards 2017 and Alt Brew No.02 English pale ale. Both brews use naturalgluten-free brewing grains; rice, millet and quinoa to produce craft beers which offer something that is different from traditional barley-based beers.
Pete Newton, beer buyer at Booths, said: “We’ve built our reputation on sourcing great quality, unique produce. We understand that in order to stay ahead of our competitors we have to keep sourcing the very best products to delight our customers.
“Stocking the Alt Brew range in our stores has enabled us to expand our craft beer offering, giving beer drinkers a unique alternative to barley-based beers. We are sure this will be welcome news to all craft ale drinkers – especially those who observe a gluten-free diet.”
Autumn Brewing Co beers and lagers are certified through the Coeliac UK crossed grain symbol scheme, with every batch being tested by a United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited laboratory.
