Big congratula­tions to Northern Storm Cheerleade­rs, who were at an internatio­nal cheerleadi­ng competitio­n in Paris last weekend, returning with a bundle of prizes including a first. The Easter event at Moorsley Hut, organised by Moorsley and District Community Associatio­n is being held on Saturday, April 8, from 2pm to 4pm. Children will have the chance to decorate boiled eggs and make Easter cards with a prize for the best child’s Easter bonnet and best decorated egg. There will be adult and children’s tombolas and another enormous raffle with loads of wonderful prizes. All children must be accompanie­d by an adult and will receive a free chocolate Easter egg.

Eppleton Banner group will be holding a banner display at Hetton Big Club on Saturday from 10am to 4pm with Murton Colliery band will be playing between 1pm and 3pm. All are welcome to attend.
