SUNDERLAND MARKETING AGENCY WELCOMES NEW RECRUIT

-

A Sunderland-based marketing agency is getting set for growth, after appointing a new member of staff to service its growing client base. Sunderland Software Centre based McDonough Marketing Communications (MMC) has welcomed Rachel Whitley as a client account executive, only months after moving into its office space. Rachel joins the MMC team after previously working as head of talent at software company SaleCycle, where she was responsible for attracting the brightest new people to support the company’s phenomenal growth during her four year tenure. Natasha McDonough, managing director of MMC, said: “I’ve known Rachel for a number of years and have always admired her instinct for understanding how to bring a brand to life. “When I was ready to expand MMC, she was top of my list to talk to. Her work is already producing measurable results for clients and we’re excited to explore opportunities to work on employer branding projects in the future. “We have a number of clients in the software, HR and recruitment sectors, and that’s why Rachel is an exceptional fit.” Rachel’s appointment comes after another positive year for MMC. The full service marketing agency has established an impressive portfolio of customers over the last year, with some of their most recent clients including Properties Unique, a serviced apartments provider and Flex-e-Card, who provide gift card solutions and technology to leading shopping centres around the globe, including Intu and Westfield. The marketing agency also works with Simpsons Malt, who are in the north east’s top 200, Gradvert, and Shine, a video interviewing software used by large corporations across the country. Irene Lucas CBE, chief executive of Sunderland City Council, said: “Since it opened its doors, Sunderland Software Centre has become home to a large number of exciting and dynamic companies, and it’s always great to see the fantastic progress tenants are making. “As new businesses like MMC establish themselves and grow, more established high-growth businesses in the centre have doubled and trebled their head count, and a great many start-up companies are also taking up their base in the centre. “The result is a vibrant, collaborative community that is contributing to the tremendous success of Sunderland’s digital economy.” For more on MMC, contact Natasha at Natasha@mmc.agency or call 0191 562 3120.
