Wearmouth CW battled back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to Hartlepool Raby Arms. Two goals in five dramatic minutes turned it around and they were denied a winner by a fine save from the very last kick.

Washington Victoria Inn made it 10 points from four games thanks to a 4-3 win at Hartlepool Workies, who led 2-0 early on.

A penalty roused Victoria, then three goals early in the second half – a free header, a goal after a defender slipped and another after the hosts failed to clear a corner - proved just enough, despite a late Workies response. Hylton CW and Darlington Shuttle & Loom drew 3-3, while Redhouse WMC slipped to a third defeat, losing 4-1 at Spennymoor Town.

Easington Colliery CIU lost 4-2 at leaders Marden. Peterlee Helford United extended their unbeaten start in Division Two, with a thrilling 4-3 victory over The Milbourne Arms.

Plains Farm Alldec enjoyed their first victory, 3-2 away to Redcar Town, while Mill View suffered a first defeat, 5-3 at second-top Richmond Town.

Dubmire Club drew 4-4 with South Shields Catholic Club.

Grindon Broadway sealed a third win out of three in Division One to sit third, beating Consett 2-0.

Seaham Marlboroug­h made it seven points from nine games after a 7-0 demolition of South Shields.
