Dubmire WMC squeezed home 3-2 in an entertaining derby at Houghton Chilton Lodge to move joint top of Division Two.
Lodge had most of the possession, but Dubmire made the most of their opportunities, with James Gardiner, Stephen Donkin and Jed Croft all scoring.
Captain Adam Elliott was Dubmire’s inspiration.
Lee Wright and Iain Macpherson struck for Lodge, whose man of the match was Adam Hinde.
Ouston Juniors came frombehindtosinkBowburn 7-3.
Star man Mick McAdam (2), Carl Moxon, Ryan Bell and Scott Johnson (3) did the damage, with Ed Carr, Lee Jennings and Josh Chilver replying.
Whitehills picked up a hard-fought 1-0 win against Lumley Snooker Club, James Ward expertly hitting home a looping 30-yarder for the only goal.
Lumley earlier had two good chances to break the deadlock. Keeper Liam Smith shone for Whitehills.
Houghton Wild Boar All-Stars and Langley Park served up a thrilling 4-4 draw in Division One, as the hosts picked up their first point.
Five goals came in the first 15 minutes. Adam Dixon gave Boar a shortlived lead before Langley hit three quickfire goals, through Matthew Wilkie (penalty) and Nathan Hall (2). Nick Thompson got the home side back to 3-2 down.
Boar turned the game around in the second half, to lead 4-3, with a couple of goals from star man Liam Lusk.
But Boar struggled to hold on and an 80th-minute cross was converted by James Wright to level matters.
Burnside WMC romped to a 6-0 win over Sacriston WMC, with man of the match Steven Macdonald bagging a hat-trick.
Callum Munro, Jon Jordison and Derek Kelsey netted.
Witton Gilbert WMC secured a well-deserved first win of the season, 4-2 at Bishop Middleham in Division Three - after falling behind early on.
Star man Ryan Blakey, Mick Bradley, Adam Cooke and Scott Bradley guided Witton home.
Gilesgate Woodman Inn, 2-0 up on 15 minutes, cruised to a 6-1 victory at Durham Buffaloes Head, although they were only 3-1 up with five minutes to play.
Daniel Hatton and Richard Begg grabbed doubles, with Gavin Scott and an own goal making it five.
Hetton New Inn were 5-1 winners at out-of-sorts Bearpark, for whom Johnny Blake hit the consolation.
In the Premier Division, Newton Aycliffe Huntsman beat Brandon Sports Club 3-1,
Connor Lyon and Lewis Martin had Huntsman 2-0 up at the break, but Brandon rallied brilliantly, Robbie Shields scoring with a fantastic free-kick into the top corner.
But a penalty miss proved costly and Alan Haycock hit Aycliffe’s clinching third on the break.
Sedgefield St Edmund’s won 3-0 at Sacriston Cricket Club, with John-Paul Spence’s speculative 30-yarder, which went through the keeper’s hands, added to by Kieran Parnaby’s double.
Houghton Town edged home 3-2 against Durham County in the Durham Sport League Cup, netting a dramatic, last-gasp winner.
A very hard-fought tie saw man of the match Brandon Alderson (2) and Kyle Davis steer Town through, with Jack Carr and Shaun Wilson replying.
Chris Brown shone for County.
Washington Cross Keys came from behind to defeat Bede Lodge Social Club 3-1.
Jonathan Hodgson put Bede ahead on the half hour, but Liam Young’s tremendous left-footed volley equalised 10 minutes later.
Sam Ingram’s tidy finish and a Young strike, capitalising on hesitation by the keeper and a defender, sealed Keys’ progress. Darren Green starred.
Chilton WMC dominated in their 4-1 success at Ushaw Moor Cricket Club, but had to rally after falling behind.
Byron Brown and Steven Clough quickly turned the game around, with Rogan Otterwell and Clough adding to the tally.
Pittington trailed just 1-0 at half-time in a tight game at Ferryhill Celtic, but the hosts added nine second-half efforts to run out 10-0 winners.
Jonny Agar bagged four goals, supported by Shane Todd (2), Mark Burnett (2),Jay Smith and Dane Eltringham. Lee Walker stood out for the visitors.
Hilda Park cruised to a 7-1 win at Sacriston The Shoes, with a stunning first-half display on a fog-bound pitch.
Adam Campbell Bell stole the show with a clinical hattrick, while Stephen Clifford notched twice. Daniel Addison added a double, scoring his second from a brilliant through pass by Chris Watson. Chris Days starred. Ouston Cherry Tree outgunned Sedgefield SC 8-3, sparked by Josh Fryer’s hattrick.
Ross Tottle (2), Ryan Drummond (2) and Andrew Clarkson also notched.
East Rainton and Ferryhill Dynamoes fought out a 2-2 draw, with Olly Hotchkiss and Lee Gaunt on target for the hosts. Vinny Gash fired both replies.
Pelton RAOB ran out comfortable 4-0 winners at Newton Aycliffe Navy Club as Cameron Nichol’s treble was backed by Michael Mackay.
Hetton Social Club made good progress in the Stepy’s Coaches President’s Trophy with an excellent 5-2 success at Ferryhill Community Hub.
Daniel Scott’s double led the way, backed by Karl Powney, Matthew Kane and James McCarthy, with Kyle Soakell starring.
Grange Villa came through an epic 5-4 at Chester Garden Farm, after falling behind in just the second minute.
Michael Brown’s header, a Liam Mitchell free-kick and Micky Gray’s close-range strike had Villa 3-2 up at halftime.
Farm twice levelled in the second period, but Mitchell completed his hat-trick with a brilliant free-kick winner late on.
Premier side Sherburn Village walloped Quarrington Hill WMC 11-2 in the Castle Insurance Alan Smith Trophy.
Star man Jamie Taylor and Nick Marley hit trebles, backed by Scott Arnott, Josh Gregory, Steven Forster, Thomas Young and Joe Simpson.
