Ofsted bosses say primary is continuing to be good
A primary school has retained its rating as good.
Ofsted inspectors visited East Boldon Junior School for a short inspection and said there is no change to its good grade.
However, the inspector said he identified some priorities for improvement, which he advised the school to address.
The inspector said: “In light of these priorities, the school’s next inspection will be a full section 5 inspection.
“Since the previous inspection, the school has been adversely affected by a number of changes in leadership.
“There have been three different headteachers in the last five years.”
However, the inspector said under the current headteacher the school has become more settled, there have been some good teaching appointments and staff absence has declined.
