Walk away from EU now

Sunderland Echo - - Opinion -

The more I read the more despondent I get over these so-called Brexit negotiations.

The only thing to do with such an attitude is to leave on said date, take a hit and wait and see what they come up with.

We could save the money, find out exactly what they need and want, and then bargain with them over that.

At least we could organise our borders including those of Northern Ireland.

Surely everyone can see they are going to use Northern Ireland as the weak spot, knowing full well that a free trade agreement will negate the need for a border as such.

The longer that goes on the more likely they will find ways of delaying everything else.

We need to stop this, nip it in the bud and walk away.

You cannot talk to the EU if members think they have any hope of success, especially if half of the establishment is plotting to help them.

Ordinary voters are being robbed of what little democracy we have left so please walk away now.
