Rotary rallies for Macmillan

-

A Washington club is rallying its members to get busy warming the cups and baking cakes in order to help boost funds for a cancer charity.

Rotary Washington is once again taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The coffee morning, which was launched in 1990, has become a national institution, raising millions to help change the lives of those living with cancer.

Rotary Washington has teamed up with the Black Bush in Washington Village to host the event on Friday, September 28, from 9.30am to 4pm.

The event, which was a huge success last year, will feature a host of goodies as well as a number of craft stalls and the chance to have a personal reading by a clairvoyant.

Macmillan knows that being told ‘you have cancer’ can affect so much more than your health – it can also affect your family, your job, even your ability to pay the bills.

After more than 100 years of helping people through cancer, Macmillan knows that the most important thing is that you’re treated as a person, not just a patient.

Macmillan will help you find your best way through from the moment of diagnosis, so you’re able to live life as fully as you can. For information, support or just someone to talk to, call 0808 808 00 00 or visit macmillan.org.uk
