It’s been a busy week for new Durham City manager Wayne Gredziak.

The former Richmond Town and Crook Town striker was named as Citizens boss following the departure of Mikey Weston last week.

Defender Andrew Brown has returned to the club in time to take his place in their squad for tomorrow’s trip to Jarrow.

The game is Gredziak’s first game in charge since his permanent appointment and the Citizens boss is anticipating a tough game at Perth Green.

He said “It has been a busy week for me and there has been a few incomings and outgoing.

“Jarrow have had a good start to the season and will be tough opposition but we have been playing well.

“We will to continue to keep improving each game and I am positive the results will start going in our favour sooner rather than later.”

Gredziak is without Joe Bates, David Gibson and Adam Shields as the trio are all away on holiday.

Table-topping Chesterle-Street Town lost their perfect start to the season when they were beaten at home by Heaton Stannington last weekend.

The Cestrians will look to bounce back to winning ways and extend their lead at the top of the table when they travel to Tow Law Town.

Andrew Clarkson is missing for Colin Wake’s side after he suffered a shoulder injury in that defeat against Heaton Stannington. Easington Colliery return to action after a twoweek break when they host bottom-of-the-table Brandon United.

The Colliers are without a win in their last three games and have slipped to fifth place in the Division Two table.

But joint-manager Craig Hughes has been impressed with his side’s attitude during their break and is looking forward to seeing the results on the pitch.

He said: “Two weeks without a game has probably actually been a bonus to us as we were in a slight rut.

“We’re refreshed and looking for three points against Brandon.”

The Colliers are boosted by the return of top goalscorer Jack Pounder and new signing Ian Bickerstaff could made his debut.

Lewis Green will face a late fitness test but Brennan Ball is missing once again with an injury.

Washington host Division Two new-boys Redcar Athletic at Nissan Sports Complex as they look to move for a first win in four games.

The Mechanics are without Kieran McWaters after he left the club to join Division Two rivals Northallerton Town last week.
