Our MPs not backing deal

-

The longer these negotiations for leaving the EU go on the more it becomes plain that the MPs elected at the last election will never let the UK be free from Europe.

The biggest mistake ever was re-electing the same MPs, who backed the likes of Blair, Clegg and Clarke.

These MPs had to go to make Brexit happen and be viable.

How could we re-elect Elliot, Hodgson and Phillipson and hope that the wishes of the people of Sunderland be carried out.

It was never going to happen.

These MPs have put every obstacle possible into stopping it and cancelling out our vote.

Deal was never on the ballot card.

We constantly hear about deal or no deal, we hear about Nissan and the threat to jobs – scaremongering is all.

With UKIP MPs we would have left by now. We would have had the £350million a week and we would not have had a bill for the billions demanded by Brussels.

We need to remember that without the Brexit vote we would never have known just how much these successive governments have paid and signed up to EU schemes and projects.

Money that could have been spent on infrastructure, the NHS, police and the armed forces.

I would like to see the UK tied more closely with our natural allies, the Commonwealth and the USA. Richy Mackem
