STORY: Plans have been unveiled for a towering public sector hub which could become the new home of Sunderland City Council

I think any improvements and investments should be warmly welcomed. There’s loads happening in and around the city centre all the time but I think people prefer to complain than celebrate change? The council must employ hundreds and hundreds of local people so why shouldn’t they have a lovely fresh, new building to work from. I think it’s all good – just my opinion. Sunderland has got a lot going on and is improving every day.

Why can’t they just move into any one of the unoccupied buildings dotted around Sunderland.
