fter 10 years of showcasing some of the region’s leading music artists, Generator’s Evolution Emerging Festival is set to re-launch this year under a new name and a revamped outlook.
Taking place on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, the celebrated event, which has previously paved the way for many of the region’s breakthrough artists, will now be known as Tipping Point Live.
Organisers have confirmed that the event will remain in its original home of the Ouseburn Valley in Newcastle, however, in a move to expand the festival offering it will now take place across two days with a full programme of live music, music industry masterclasses and conversations, film screenings, food offers and family-focused events for music lovers with young children.
As usual all North East-based emerging artists are invited to apply to play the festival, but this year successful artists will be chosen by a panel of highprofile industry curators.
Tipping point will welcome applications from original bands, musical artists, producers and songwriters working in the following genres: electronic, alternative, rock and alternative rock, jazz, folk, urban and pop.
Applications are open online at generator.org.uk/services/tipping-point/ tipping-point-live/
