Peterlee Acre Rigg Social defeat Seaham Parkside 3-2 in their first leg clash. Ian Archer (2) and Philip Robinson scored for the winners, with Michael Kennedy and Graham McBeth replying.

In the Premier Division, a hat-trick from Jack Pounder, plus efforts from Gary Shaw and Michael Robson, paved the way for Peterlee Catholic Club to get three

points after a 5-2 win against Horden DLI, whose replies came from Jonathan Payne and James Connor.

An effort from Niall Cowell was not enough to keep Seaham Marlboroug­h in the top flight as their relegation was confirmed after a 4-1 defeat against Easington CIU, whose goals came from Liam Adamson (2), Rob Huntley and Jack McAndrew.

Already relegated Peterlee Helford had no answer to the fire power from Murton Officials as they went down 4-0 with two goals from Gavin Hoggarth and one each from Luke Thompson and Antony Cowie.

Easington Colliery Club Mechanics and Easington Lane WMC shared four goals, with Jack Garside and Thomas Bott on target for the Mechanics, with Brad Thompson and Joe Young replying. In the First Division, goals from Liam Houghton, Brandon Cook and Mark Hartley set up a 3-1 win for South Hetton CC in their charge for promotion against Easington Southside, with Martin Dunn getting the consolatio­n.

The biggest win of the season so far saw Shotton Comrades hammer Horden Legion 18-2 with a five-timer from Michael Boardman, four goals from Peter Johnson, a hat-trick from Warren French and other goals from Philip Quinn, Russ Blenkinsop­p, Shaun Jackson, Nathan Grainger, David Jackson and Liam Cockerill. Kieran Elliott scored both replies.

In Division Two, Stephen Fletcher hit four goals for Easington Victory in their crushing 7-0 win against East Durham FC.
