The Mill are snookered as South Hylton A View a clean sweep

South Hylton A completed a clean sweep at Mill View in the Danby Autos Sunderland Snooker League.

Adam Smith beat Carl Davis 99-66 and Graham Rutland won 62-34 against Howard Lax.

Gavin Dixon increased Hylton’s lead winning the third frame against John Spruce 70-28 before Norman Leslie won the fourth on the final black beating Steve Chandler 65-57.

In the pairs Smith and Dixon beat Norman Brown and Paul Scrimgour 70-47.

Birtley’s Brian Meuse won the first frame 84-40 against St Gabriels’ Anthony Longstaff, with the aid of a 30 break.

Breaks of 22 and 27 helped Jordan Young win the second frame against Ian McDermott 76-22 before Neil Lowdon won the third frame beating Aaron Duncan 70-51.

Roful Hoque beat Glen Lane 53-37 before Lowdon and Young beat Lane and Ken Rackstraw 69-16.

Seaham Conservati­ves A’s Les Pinder beat Murton Officials’ Gary Stockton 69-21 before Justin Ebdy levelled the match winning 64-43 against Michael Monaghan.

Stephen Clementson moved Murton into the lead beating Jack Deighton 6834 before Ian Hughes again levelled the match against Steven Cook, winning 59-13.

In the pairs, Cook and Bobby Carne beat Pinder and Hughes 6141.

Biddick B beat Boldon CA 3-2 thanks to wins by Peter Mills and John Temple.

Craig Barron and Derek White won for Boldon, but Philip Straughan and Mills won Biddick the match beating Barron and John Smith 57-47.

Ray Charlton Junior won his singles frame and the pairs with Vince Flynn.

But it was not enough to avoid defeat to a Glendale side inspired by wins for Marc Smithson, John Wisemanand­PaulAtkins­on.

Seaham Conservati­ve B beat South Hylton B 4-1 with wins for Harland and Harry Davidson, Robin Midson and, in the pairs, Tony Grimes and Harry Davidson, Ian Stewart with the consolatio­n victory.

Biddick A beat The Victory 3-2 thanks to Terry Froud, Rod Turnbull and David Adamson and David Clennell in the pairs.

Darren Dowell and Ray James won for The Vic.
