On your marks for cut-price run entry

Time is running out to take advantage of a special “early bird” price for places on the 2020 Sunderland City Runs.

Discounted places on the Sunderland City Half Marathon and 10K are available until midnight on Saturday, November 30.

Next year sees the 10th anniversary of the Sunderland City Runs.

Delivered by a partnership between Events of the North and Sunderland City Council, the 2020 Sunderland City Runs will be held on May 9 and 10 May. As well as the half marathon and 10K, there will be a 5K race and the return of the Active Sunderland BIG 3K.

Places on the 2020 Sunderland City Runs can be booked at www.sunderlandcity10k.com.

With the “early bird” offer, runners who are affiliated to a club can enter the half marathon for £33, while the price for unaffiliated runners is £35.

The early bird prices for the 10K are £23 and £25 respectively. From Sunday 1 December, the entry prices for the half marathon will be £35/£37,andforthe10Kthey will be £25/£27. Places on the Sunderland City 5K cost £15. Anyone who enters the half marathon or 10K as well as the 5K will receive a discount code. An ‘early bird’ price for the Active Sunderland BIG 3K is available until January 16 and is £10, after which it rises to £12. The price includes a technical t-shirt, medal, goody bag and, for the first time, chip timing.
