Have your say on Sunderland’s problems

-

Sunderland’s season reached a new low on Tuesday night.

With the club 11th in League One and anger and frustration among the loyal and passionate fanbase growing, we want YOUR views on under-fire Phil Parkinson, Stewart Donald, the players themselves and the priorities going into the January transfer window.

We have launched our Big Sunderland Survey which will run over the weekend before we publish the results early next week.

We also want your views on whether Sunderland AFC need to appoint a director of football and whether it was the right decision to sack Jack Ross.

Go to sunderlandecho. com and fill in our survey on the big issues facing the Black Cats – have your say!

*Horden CW assistant manager Lee Bogan has sent out a warning to the rest of the Wearside League as the season reaches the halfway point.

Despite holding a six-point lead at the top of the table and progressing in a number of different cup competitions, Bogan doesn’t believe that his side have hit their top form this season.

Horden will take a break from their bid for promotion into the Northern League this weekend when they host struggling Farringdon Detached in Round One of the Shipowners Charity Cup.

The hosts will go into the game as heavy favourites against a Farringdon side that have conceded 21 goals in their last three league defeats.

Bogan is looking forward to a break from the league schedule and insisted that his side can still improve despite an impressive start to the season.

He told The Echo: “We haven’t really hit top form yet and we are winning games in an ugly way.

“We have seen that top form earlier in the season against Darlington Town and Hebburn Town Reserves. We passed those tests with flying colours – but are just getting through games at times.

“We got two massive wins against Silksworth and Durham United to give ourselves a nice cushion.

“The idea was to concentrate on the cup competitions, and we are looking forward to Saturday’s game.”
