Pussycat Dolls to play racing’s Ladies Day

-

Pussycat Dolls have been announced to play Newcastle Racecourse’s Ladies Day fixture.

The chart-topping American group, who shot to fame with hits such as Don’t Cha and When I Grow Up, will perform at Ladies Day on Saturday, July 25.

Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Nicole Sherzinger, Jessica Sutta and Kimberley Wyatt are already set to play Newcastle’s Utilita Arena in

April, but will be returning to the North East for the outdoor, summer gig.

There are still some tickets available for the Dolls’ first performance in the North East which takes place on Sunday, April 12.

A spokesman for Newcastle Racecourse said: “Once you’ve watched some of the races, judged everyone’s outfits and enjoyed a glass of fizz or two in the British sunshine, we celebrate strong females who know how to put on a show and get you up on your feet.

“Though the racing is over, the evening is still young, and it is time to flock to the stage to bust your best dance moves to the iconic Pussycat Dolls.”

There will be a best dressed competition with thousands of pounds worth of prizes up for grabs.

Ladies Day also features a Silk Series race, which is comprised of all female jockeys. The series has run for four years, and runs across 13 British racecourses, showcasing and celebrating female talent within horse racing whilst also supporting Cancer Research UK.

Pussycat Doll tickets will be available for pre-sale via Ticketmaster at 10am this Friday, and will go on general sale at 10am on Friday, February 21. Newcastle Racecourse has urged those interested to secure places early.
