Seaham make light work of Seghill to continue fine form
Seaham's winning run continued after they stormed to a 45-3 victory over old rivals Seghill at the Leisure Centre.
Glen Hardie was first on the scoresheet when he took a well-timed pass from big Rob Hebron and outpaced the defence to touch down in the top corner.

Shortly afterwards they conceded a breakdown penalty which was converted for 5-3.
Play was equally contested until the 15th minute when a Seghill player was tackled and Seaham turned possession in their favour. Ben Turnbull switchedplayrightthenkicked upfield.CraigJonesgrubbered the ball towards the try line thenBradGreenpouncedfora try, converted by Conor Jones.
Glen Hardie scored his secondtryofthedayon21minutes when he ran a clever angle and burst through a gap in the centres to touch down under the posts. Conor Jones added the conversion.
Seaham pressed for the vital bonus-point try but a combinationofhandlingerrorsand staunch defence held them at bay for the remainder of the half. Seaham were quick out of the blocks after the break and secured a try bonus point.
JohnPaulpickedfromascrum in his own half and ran 55 metresbeforetouchingdownfora try. Conor Jones' third conversion made it 26-3.
Sean McCallum scored try number five when Brad Green took a quick tapped penalty andspunleft.Theflankertook the ball at pace and touched down near the posts. Jones converted.
Try number six came three minutes later when John Paul passed from a scrum and set Ben Turnbull away. The flying wing ended a jinking run by touching down in the bottom right corner; 38-3.
The try of the game was scored just before the hour when Elliott Pratt took a catch in his own half and launched a devastatingchargethroughthe Seghilldefence.Hewaseventually tackled but floated a delicatepasstoSeanMcCallum.He drewinseveraldefendersthen popped a scoring pass to Brad Green. Conor Jones converted once again.
The game was halted briefly when Seaham prop Rob Hebron had a sickening clash of heads with the Seghill hooker. The visitor was forced off but Hebron carried on bravely.
The remainder of the game was disrupted by substitutions and handling errors, but itresultedinawelcomebonuspoint victory for the hosts.
