Dancers on top of the world after show delight

-

Dancers Lily and Joseph have done it again and survived another live show of The Greatest Dancer.

Last weekend, Lily Straughan, 11 and eight-yearold Joseph Chow, performed for the third time live on The Greatest Dancer.

Geordie dance captain Cheryl picked the pair as one of her top three acts and they have continued to do her proud while competing to win £50,000, a chance to dance on Strictly Come Dancing and to become The Greatest Dancer.

This week was Around The World and Lily and Joseph were given the theme of Iceland.

They were the first to take to the stage and in the VT, they reminisced on the previous week’s “incredible” performance, saying making it through was “the best moment ever” then shared afternoon tea with Cheryl.

Cheryl said: “I think Lily and Joseph are living their dream.”

Lily described the theme of their latest performance as: “Looking after each other and looking out for each other.”

Dancing to You Are The Reason by Calum Scott, Lily and Joseph were on an ice themed stage dancing to a much slower tune than previous live shows.

After the performance, Lily said: “It was so cool!”

Oti Mabuse said it was “young” “fresh” and “just pure joy.”

In reaction to Joseph’s lifts Cheryl said: “I am so proud, you did every single one! I’m not surprised there was hesitation in his little face.”

She also promised that they can see the Northern Lights in Iceland if they win.

They received a score of 93.8% from the audience, while Ainsley Ricketts left the competition.
