Saggezza takes on new man after takeover deal
A fast-growing Sunderlandbased technology business has appointed a senior leader to drive its growth, after acquiring a global digital company.
Saggezza, which helps businesses unlock the power of their data, has taken over Communisis Digital – a global web development agency – and appointed digital expert Suhail Ahmed to guide the growth of a new arm of the company, Saggezza Digital.
Mr Ahmed joins the firm from TI Cycles of India, where he headed the eCommerce business and managed brands.
He is an MBA graduate, from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain and has run his own successful online e-commerce venture, after starting his career in the financial industry.
Founded in 1995, Communisis
Digital provided outsourced development support to web and digital agencies, helping build complex microsites and apps using a range of technologies.
It will now become Saggezza Digital, part of the Saggezza business, which has bases in Sunderland and London in the UK, as well as the US and India.
Martin Williams, UK Managing Director at Saggezza, said: “Communisis Digital was a great company with a fantastic and highly-skilled team and we’re delighted to be able to welcome them into the Saggezza family.
“In the years we’ve worked shoulder-to-shoulder with colleagues from the company, we have witnessed first-hand how our services dovetail, offering an unrivalled experience to clients and adding real value to projects. To have this as part of our own business, is fantastic and we have exciting plans for the growth of the company.”
This is the second highprofile acquisition Saggezza has made this year following the takeover of US
IT consulting and software development firm, Omni.
Mr Williams added: “The acquisitions of both Communisis Digital and Omni are testament to just how much we’ve grown over recent years. Both brands are held in extremely high regard for the services they offer within their respective markets.”
