EYES DOWN FOR SOME FUN AND GAMES BY THE RIVER

-

Three new shows have been announced at The Customs House in South Shields and they promise to be real eye-openers and hilarious rib-ticklers.

Executive Director Ray Spencer will once again be dusting off his Tommy the Trumpeter outfit, but this time with a difference. You won’t be able to take the kids to this event as it’s an adult’s only version of his famous Tommy’s Party. The Revenge of Tommy proved a hit during the theatre’s 25th anniversary celebrations last year, so it’s coming back on Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19, with both shows starting at 8pm.

The Return of The Revenge of Tommy will give those who didn’t manage to get their Tommy mug, or recite Betty Bought Bob Blue and Black Buttons, when they were kids on the South Shields seafront, to get their own back. It’s the perfect excuse leave the kids at home and let your hair down. Davey Hopper will also feature in the show.

If you can’t ditch the kids and are looking for a fun afternoon for all the family then Davey is your man this time run. He he will also be staging one of his own shows as Arbuthnot and Pals’ Super Silly Game Show returns with fun for all the family and a heap of prizes to be won on Sunday, March 15, at noon and 3pm.

Returning to the theme of fun for grown ups, Davey is the man in the hotseat for a bingo night with a difference.

Mr H will be hosting the wacky Belter Bingo on Saturday, March 21, at 7.30pm, which will see the main theatre space transformed into a giant bingo hall, with music, dancing and prizes to be won throughout the night.
