Clubland set to shine at Beacon of Light

-

Dust off your glow sticks as a huge Clubland event takes over the Beacon of Light on Easter Sunday.

In its only live arena show in the North East this year, Clubland will bring dance acts including Sash, Love Inc featuring Simone Denny, Kelly Lorena, Flip n Fill, Ultrabeat, Micky Modelle, Mark Breeze, Karen Parry, Rebecca Rudd, John Neal, Friday night possee, Movin and more to Sunderland for the night.

It will be hosted by MC Keyes and Finchy.

It will be the first time that Sash, whose hits include Ecuador, Encore une fois and It’s My Life, has performed in Sunderland in 11 years.

It promises to be a night which celebrates the heyday of clubbing.

The night, which will raise funds for the Foundation of Light, is aimed at all ages over 18 and will run from 4.30pm to 11pm on Sunday, April 12.

An after party will then be held at a location to be announced.

It’s the first time an event of this kind will be held at the Beacon of Light, which opened in 2018 next to the Stadium of Light. The £19million facility was designed with a variety of events in mind, from sporting to gala dinners and gigs.

The night will feature a full set production and lasers.

Support on the night will come from Semtex, Jeff Scott, Joe Gullis, Jeff Pescod, DJZ, Hopper and Jay Flynn.

Tickets are priced from £25 and are available from Skiddle.

The Foundation of Light has won multiple awards for its sports, health, community and education programmes.
