How to save up to 20% off the price of your Sunderland Echo
Usual price 83p. Subscription price 66p!
WHY TAKE OUT A SUBSCRIPTION? By buying a subscription you will save money compared with the normal price of the paper, and you will also be giving valuable support to your local newspaper during the coronavirus crisis.
WHY DO LOCAL NEWSPAPERS NEED SUPPORT RIGHT NOW?
Newspapers are funded by the price they charge per copy, and the advertisements that are paid for. As the coronavirus lockdown has a major impact on many of the valued local advertisers, and consequently the advertising that newspapers receive, they are more reliant than ever before on readers helping them to provide the local news and information by buying a copy of the newspapers.
HOW DOES THE SUBSCRIPTION WORK?
Subscribers are sent dated vouchers. Simply select the relevant voucher for that day and hand it to your newsagent or at the supermarket checkout as payment.
WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THE NEWSPAPER?
The paper is widely available at most major retailers in the area. If you find your newsagent does not stock the paper, please ask them if they can order it in for you.
DO I NEED TO RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION?
If you pay by Direct Debit, you will automatically receive your new vouchers two weeks before your existing vouchers end. If you pay by credit card, we will notify you before your vouchers expire with details of how to continue your subscription.
HOW DOES DIRECT DEBIT CONTINUOUS PAYMENT WORK?
Subscriptions are made on either an annual, bi-annual or quarterly basis by Direct Debit. Your payments are spread accordingly. As this is a continuous payment method you are in complete control of your subscription as well as eliminating the need for renewal reminders.
I HAVE MY NEWSPAPER DELIVERED, CAN I STILL SUBSCRIBE?
Yes you can. You will need to pay your weekly delivery charge as normal but just hand the relevant vouchers to your newspaper retailer when you pay the delivery bill.
