Patronising ‘reward’

-

Just when you thought the handling of this pandemic couldn't get any worse Matt Hancock the health minister came up to the stage where he was about to address the press about the lack of PPE and concerns and conditions for the workers in care homes.

Proudly he announced with a big smile for their endeavour those care workers were to be rewarded with a badge, that's right a badge, what a patronising piece of window dressing from the Tory party, and it doesn't end there if these workers want a badge it's going to cost them £8.99.

Not one care worker in this country earns that per hour, it stinks to high heaven.

As if that news wasn't upsetting enough it was splashed all over social media that flights are still landing in our country with the government allowing around 15,000 passengers a day just to get off and on with the rest of their journey without being tested for the virus that has run riot throughout the land; is this the herd immunity they were talking about.

The sight of Tory MPs on TV standing outside their homes on Thursday evenings applauding all the NHS is hypocrisy of the highest order, as the last time they applauded and cheered the NHS was when they voted not to give them a pay rise.

There are some Tory MPs who are voicing concerns over it's party's handling of this crisis and it is welcoming, the new Labour Party leader has decided to say nothing, the scientific body are crying out for some leadership but sadly nothing is happening, and still no words either way from Boris Johnson.
