‘Business as usual’ at booming technology firm

-

Sunderland-based tech firm Saggezza is taking its recruitment online, to ensure it can carry on with its expansion during lockdown.

The technology and consulting partner is turning to digital and video technology to allow it to carry on conversations with prospective employees to add to its 60-strong team.

The firm say that, while many many companies are battening down the hatches during Covid-19, it has been ‘largely business with its team working from home to support its global client base.

The company, which has plans to double its headcount, is continuing with recruitment plans, conducting interviews by video conference where possible.

Lucy Harber, head of HR and operations, said: “We are fortunate that the nature of what we do enables us work just as well remotely as we do from the office, so we have been able to operate successfully during lockdown, with minimal impact on the business.

“So far, the company continues to grow and we are actively recruiting new people to join the team.

We’re excited that we continue to create new opportunities and hope this will give people who might have been impacted the chance to embark on a new career with us.

“We know it has been an immensely challenging time for many.”

The compnay -p based at Sunderland Software Centre - has offices in the UK, America and India, and a client list that includes an international investment bank and a global credit card provider.

Lucy added: “In less than six years, we have seen remarkable growth, and we plan to emerge from this crisis on the front foot.”
