Blind woman says she can’t buy food because supermarkets won’t let her in during lockdown.

Kaylee Marie Turner:

My friend also been told she can't shop with her partner (she's blind). I see where they're coming from because she doesn't *need* to go in, he could do it. But she's losing her independence and it's so detrimental to her. She feels like a second class citizen.

Cathy Ball: We live in Bedford and because I am classed as "vulnerable" cannot go out, so I registered with the local council and they rang me and checked if I was OK and if I needed anything. Fortunately my husband can do the shopping at the moment.

Michael Cavanagh: If she need food I work in a supermarket as a delivery driver. Yes it is getting harder to get deliverys but if she makes a list I am willing to pick the shopping and deliver it to her every two weeks. Until this is over. Please inbox me. Stay safe and well everyone.

Sonia Hawes: Well done Lidl for helping her my favourite supermarket the other store should be named and shamed and the people in milton Keynes should boycott this store.

Susan Suey: Surely staff could get her items for her instead but apart from that it is up to us to make sure we keep social distance from her, we can see, she cant.

Andy Pettey: Surely they should be calling her weekly and delivering what she needs for free.

Maggie Bullen: Ah how sad that people can do this to a blind disabled woman and her dog.

Sheila Harbottle: That's so awful, shame on the supermarkets and staff for allowing this to happen, should be named and shamed at this awful time x

Elva Vasey: These times are certainly bringing out the best and worst in people. How could anyone with an ounce of decency try and rob a blind person or lock a guide dog. Hope Karma bites them hard the ba ..... s well done Lidl

Angela Wind: Am sure people could have allowed her to pass! This virus has brought the best and the worst out in people!

Kirsten Middlemiss: If she can't social distance then it's up to members of the public to do this for her. We need to look after people.

Tina Duncan: This is horrible some nasty people around. That security guard was amazing. I've noticed Aldi and Lidl guards help people when needed x

Mary Haig: There must be some help somewhere near her, I know folk who get help shopping.

Lyndsey Chambers: If she needs shopping i would happily go for her.
