“Time to move on from Dominic Cummings affair,” says Sunderland Tory leader.

Lucy Frogatt:

This Tory leader needs to shut his cake hole. I can't move on when a lying, cheating hypocritic scruff is still in his job after he broke the rules that he imposed on the rest of the population. I voted for this government and I'm sickened by them. If I could retract my vote I would. They have let everyone who lent them their vote down, and I am so angry and disappointed about it. Fuming!

Michael Stoker:

My issue with it is not what he did as a 'person' - my issue is what he did as a senior Government Advisor - against rules he formulated and implemented, thereby undermining everything the government were trying to do. He should be sacked for not doing his job properly, not for being 'a dad' - but sacked nevertheless.

Mick Reay:

Typical Tory response to their inept performances. LET'S NOT MOVE ON. Let him take responsibility for his actions and lies. What has happened to accountability ???? Sheila Harbottle: Why should we move on, it's one rule for the government one rule for us, should of been sacked from the beginning, but when you have a Muppet like Johnson running the country what more do you expect, it was all lies Cummings said anyway, driving with bad eyesight is definitely a no no, putting innocent people's lives in danger, what a joke this government is.

Keith Hood:

People would have moved on if he hadn't insulted everyone's intelligence by saying he drove 50 miles to test his eyesight. That was hardly in the interest of public safety. He could have stood in the street and read a number plate from 25 yards like anyone else.

Tony Isles:

I really wish we did, like watching paint dry the constant bombardment, even most of the media has.

John Welsh:

People were making their own decisions, and some their own rules, before the Dominic Cummings affair. It was all hugely blown up simply because Remainers saw a chance for revenge. They still haven't accepted that the British People have spoken over Brexit.

Tracy Coulson:

Thank god coz this ‘story’ is relentless and boring now. Done with - move on
