Silksworth complete yet another clean sweep

There was, however, some good news for the sport as Bowls England chief Tony Allcock was awarded an OBE for services to Lawn Bowls in the Queen’s birthday honours.

As Sunderland council has agreed to unlock the gates, several council-owned clubs have opened up. Clubs must follow Bowls England guidelines. Unfortunat­ely for Roker Marine, it will remain closed for at least another month due toessentia­lworkbeing­carried out to the green, as it was in an unfit state to use.
