- Emma Pyle: Too little to late am afraid.

Unrepentant council bosses have heralded the start of new crackdown on litter louts and flytippers by unveiling a series of hard-hitting posters.

Doreen Hammond: Then the tippers will laugh and continue to mess the place. Need stronger measures.

Tony Isles: You got to try something different. Saying "please" hasn't worked, but think heavier persuading tactics are required.

Hadson Coates: I bet this has got the fly tippers shaking in their shoes.

Christine Arceri: Worth a try - the current situation is unacceptable.

Elaine Johnson: I think it's great. However I am sure the pc brigade will have something to say about it.

Joan Boddy: I agree, sumone sumwhere while find sumthing wrong with them but wudnt need them at all if they cleaned their mess anyway.

Free parking times and deals on charges are being introduced in Sunderland to help boost the city’s economy after it was ravaged by the coronavirus crisis.

Jack Reid: Where I live, every Council Tax Payer has free parking in all of the Council Cat Parks from 11am to closing time except for July and August. Second car costs £20 per year. Works well here.

Jim Tansey: It could be free all day and I still wouldn't be tempted. Queuing everywhere ain't fun.

Brian Fulcher-Blige: I always park outside the quayside exchange in Hendon. It's only a short walk from the town centre and it's free.

Jacob Dormer: Shops and businesses (few that are left) open 4 July, give everybody time to get used to going elsewhere and then kick off a few offers from August. Typical Sunderland Council. Why do people have to wait a month, if businesses open 4 July start the offers from the 4 July.
