Promises and PM’s u-turns

-

“The hypocrisy by this man and his government knows no bounds.” Ged Taylor, Barnes.

Just a thought for all those who stood outside their homes and applauded on a Thursday.

We have found out there is over 3.7 million key workers on less than £10 per hour in this country, and Boris Johnson's government has decided the best way to address this injustice is to give half price food vouchers to those who can already afford to dine out.

At the same time, the government have been shamed into extending free school meals throughout the school holidays, by a young Premiership footballer.

Johnson has done more u-turns than a dodgem car on speed, with his promises to the country.

Key workers, such as doctors and nurses have seen promises to scrap parking charges in hospitals cancelled.

The hypocrisy by this man and his government knows no bounds.

They have scrapped an election promise to protect the licence fee for over 75s, at the same time appointing Tim Davie, a Tory advisor, as the BBC director general who will be trousering £450,000 a year.

You really couldn't make this up.

They have announced a policy to help all the homeless by scrapping the stamp duty for people buying houses up to half a million pounds.

So all the rich people moving houses can save themselves a small fortune, and they will be cashing twice fold in buying their kids a property for the future, all the while there's people on furlough or unemployed in rented properties struggling to pay the rent, some not knowing where their next meal is coming from.

Over the last 10 years this government has told us they have had to make hard decisions.

These decisions has created in work poverty, and quadrupled child poverty.

And at the same time they have allowed mutinational companies to evade tax, and gave out millions of pounds in tax concessions, and subsidies to the top 5%, creating over 150 billionaires.

I just wish all these working class Tory voters would wake up and see this government is having your pants down.

Boris Johnson.
