Mystic Meg?

-

In response to David Byrne, Pallion, of his criticism of my previous letter in the Echo.

Mr Byrne you accuse me of being naive and you say you know what I think (are you the real mystic Meg) and also you can't remember if I admonished the press over the treatment of Jeremy Corbyn, with regard to the press' treatment of him.

I will expand on my response to his letter.

I do not understand why

I would be accused of being naive as to my comments of how some journalists/TV presenters are disgraceful in their treatment of guests on TV.

Mr Byrne you seem to agree that they are from your comment about the press' treatment of Jeremy Corbyn.

So Mr Byrne does that make you naive? I agree the press were disgraceful, as you know what I think I am surprised you did not realise that, as in your response you state you know what I think with regard to the Daily Mail/Express journalists.

You got that one wrong, I don't have any opinions on the journalists of the two newspapers.

You mentioned that you can't remember if I admonished the press over their treatment of Jeremy Corbyn.

I never mentioned Jeremy Corbyn - no wonder you don't remember.

I am surprised with your powers of knowing what I think, that you would find it hard to remember something I had never mentioned.

The point I was making at the time was the way TV journalists treat their guests, at the time COVID 19 and government ministers were a hot topic, so I was writing about current topics not old news.

Piers Morgan tried it on again with Dizzee Rascal and was asked about Black Lives Matter, well done Dizzee - he put Piers in his place.
