Aldi looks to take on 41 new staff with salaries up to £32k

Discount supermarke­t chain Aldi is looking to hire 41 colleagues across its Tyne and Wear stores between now and Christmas, with salaries of up to £32,000.

On Wednesday, Aldi announced that it is looking for people of all levels of experience to fill roles at its stores across the region.

Roles range from stock assistant all the way up to assistant store manager.

Aldi, the UK’s fifth-largest supermarke­t chain, already employs more than 650 people at its 23 stores across Tyne and Wear.

It is now looking to grow its team over the coming months as part of its ongoing expansion plans in the region.

The announceme­nt comes just over a month after Aldi opened a new store in Pennywell, creating a further eight jobs.
