-

will return to captaining the second team.

"James Weighell has signed for Leicester CCC, so is not available this weekend.”

Linsley added: “We are looking forward to going to Ashbrooke, it’s always a tough game and they’re arguably one of the strongest teams in the group.

"We’ve not played particularly well yet but have managed to win all three games so hopefully we all click on Saturday to keep our 100 per cent start to the campaign intact.”

Whitburn travel to Eppleton and captain Paul Shields said: “We have one change from last week. Luke Smith is available again after work commitments and comes back into the first team in place of Laurence Wood who drops into second team.”

Hetton Lyons are in second place and they welcome Castle Eden, who are fourth.

Lyons’ fixture secretary Gary Adey said: “We’ve got a full squad to choose from but will delay naming the team until later in the week.”

Adey added: “Castle Eden have so far recorded the same results as us (two wins, one defeat) so both teams will be eager to come out on top.

"They have a well-balanced team and will be tough opposition but we’re keen to put last Saturday’s result behind us and get back to winning ways.”

The bottom two clash as Philadelphia host Boldon at Bunker Hill.

Philadelphia chairman Malcolm Pratt said: “We are again unchanged for the visit of Boldon as captain Shaun Smith seeks to build on last week’s first win of the season.”

Pratt added: “It was a sound all-round performance at Whitburn which will give the lads a bit of confidence.

"We have played some really good sides so far, including last season’s Premier Division champions Burnmoor and in some ways, it’s been a baptism of fire following our promotion from the Durham Cricket League.”

Sacriston are without a win in the West Group and they entertain unbeaten and third-placed Washington.

Fixture secretary Iain Bestford said: “Martin Hubber is available having missed recent weeks due to work commitments and he replaces Andrew Dixon.”

Bestford added: “We need to get our season up and running as we’ve found a way to lose two close games in the last fortnight.

"The performances of our younger players last week now need to be backed-up from our more experienced players.”

Washington skipper Joe Thompson said: “We will have Mark Watson back from holiday and he’ll replace Mark Bell, who broke his finger on Saturday.

"We will be looking to build on what has been a good start for us by winning our first three games.

"Each week our performances have improved and hopefully that will continue on Saturday against a dangerous Sacriston team.”

Lanchester are bottom of the league and they welcome Burnopfield, who are fourth, to Ashley Park.

In the Durham and North East Cricket League, Group A leaders South Shields travel to Seaham Park with a 100 per cent win ratio.

Captain Anth Marshall said: “We have made a great start and are unchanged this weekend for our game against a resolute Seaham Park side.”

SeahamHarbourwelcome Silksworth to New Drive.

Both teams have recorded just one win so far this season and skipper Stewart Pattison said: “We are looking to make it two wins in a row with the visit of Silksworth, after a nail-biting three run victory last week.

"Andrew Stephenson and Greg Davison are not available, with Dylan Bacon and Henry Sennett coming into the side.”

Silksworth skipper Andy Barrass said: “We had a tough game against Seaham Park last weekend but Kieran Laws impressed on his return to the side with his first game in two years. So did young Dan Bevan, opening the bowling in the first team for the first time.”

Barrass added: “We are boosted by the return of Michael Waterson, Adam Fairley, Praveen Raj and Mark Barrass for this week’s game at Seaham Harbour, but Robbie Jones is unfortunately unavailable. He should hopefully return next weekend along with Ben Lobban.

"It will be another tough game but hopefully we keep on improving and get a good result.”

Ryhope are in third place and entertain bottom club Bill Quay.

Chairman Ian Lawrence said: “We welcome back Paul Jenkin and Jonny Errington who were missing last week but are without Connor Pearson.”

In the other two games, Hylton in second place travel to fourth-placed Dawdon Welfare and fifth-placed Boldon CA travel to Marsden.

Hunwick need a win to improve their third bottom position in Group B and they travel to Murton.
