The Echo can reveal the full line-up of food and drink traders for Seaburn’s muchanticipated STACK development.

Construction work had to be paused on the shipping container village on the site of the former Seaburn Centre during lockdown.

But it’s since resumed and is making good progress for the new opening date of Friday, August 28.

Now, the Echo can reveal exactly which food and drink traders will be in each of the containers, which are designed to house a mixture of food and drink traders, as well as lifestyle brands.

All the food and drink units have been taken, with a couple of units left for lifestyle businesses, and the owners, Danieli Holdings, are keen to hear from tattooists, yoga operators, barbers or bike repair shops who may be interested in occupying the space.

The food and drink lineup is: Downey’s Fish & Chips – serving some of the best locally produced fish & chips in the area; Acropolis, multi award-winning Greek street food; Chapos Tacos, traditional Mexican street food; Boojie Burger, classic American burgers; Yolo Coffee & Kitchen, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and great tasting coffee; Healthy Thaim, healthy food with a Thai twist; Farah’s Italiano, Italian street food; Holy Duck, loaded duck fries and wraps; Longhorns Smokehouse, all about the meat; ZZA Pizzeria, classic Italian thin and crispy pizzas; The Little Cakery, homemade cakes and traybakes to fresh scones and gourmet brownies; Barley & Me; Heineken; Yolo (Wine & Cocktail Bar); Hop House 13; The Gin Cabinet (Gin Bar).

They’ll be joined by lifestyle businesses including Woofs n Scruffs, and a dog grooming business, as well as Games Cabin, a computer gaming venue.

Neill Winch, CEO at Danieli Holdings, said he was proud to bring the STACK concept to his hometown of Sunderland.

He said: “I’m delighted with the line-up of businesses we have been able to bring to STACK Seaburn. It really is testament to the confidence people have in the STACK concept that so many street food traders and lifestyle companies have signed up to take a unit during what has been the most challenging period imaginable for the sector.”
