Musicians are confirmed as new names on the bill for Arena gigs

Folk-punk hero Frank Turnerwill­returntoTy­neside on Monday, September 7.

On Friday, September 18, the British-Italian artist Jack Savoretti will head to Virgin Money Unity Arena followed bythemuch-lovedmusic­alduo that is Lighthouse Family on Saturday, September 19.

Festivalor­ganiserSte­veDavis, said: “We are delighted to add further shows to what has been an amazing and uplifting projectfor­theNorthEa­st’sMusic Industry.

“It’samazingto­seeshowaft­er show customers are complying with the guidelines and enjoying this safe outdoor arena.

"We hope to return to normal as soon as possible but for now, we offer the best alternativ­e in the world to a live gig experience.”

Earlierthi­ssummer,Virgin Money launched its Emerging Stars programme to support andpromote­Britain’snewmusic artists.

Indie-rockband,MosaWild will be the support act for London-based singer/songwriter Tom Grennan this Thursday, while R&B and soul singersong­writer Aaron Taylor joins the line-up to support Jack Savoretti.

Tickets for Frank Turner, Jack Savoretti and Lighthouse Family will be on sale today, at 10 am.
