Callum missing for five years
Five years on from when he went missing, Police have renewed their appeal for information as they try to find Callum Young.
Callum Young, who will now be 27, was last seen on August 26,2015, a this home in Hylton Road.
He was reported missing four days later on August 30 after he wasn’ t seen for three days and his family were unable to get in touch with him.
Mum Colleen, 48, has made frequent appeals for Call um–or anyone who knows where he is - to get in touch.
She says there was no reason to believe Call um was unhappy or distressed and failing to stay in touch with his loved ones was entirely out of character.
She spoke to the friends he lived with at his bedsit, but they all said they had not seen him.
Police viewed hours of CCTV footage, interviewed family and friends and carried out enquiries on social media inane ffort to find Call um at the time of his disappearance –butt ono avail.
Sergeant Ross Hal pin, of Northumbria Police, said today efforts to find Call um would continue: “We know how devastating Call um’ s disappearance has been for his family and have worked hard to try and get them some answers.
"We have carried out extensive enquiries to lo
ca te him but have been unable to put together a picture of exactly what happened to him.
"It has been v er yd iffi cult for Call um’ s family not to know why he went missing and the five year anniversary is a painful reminder of those unanswered questions.
"His case will remain open and we will inv esti gate any leads that may arise about his disappearances owe can try and provide some closure to his
family.
"His disappearance was out of character for him and there may be someone out there who can offer some explanation about what has happened. C allum himself may also read this appeal and we would encourage him to contact us directly.
