STORY:

Social gatherings of more than six people will be illegal in England from Monday as the Government seeks to curb the rise in coronavirus cases. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the change in the law to reduce the number from 30 after the number of daily positive Covid-19 cases in the UK rose to almost 3,000. Tues day’s figures from Public Health England showed 108 new cases had been recorded in the North East.

Tracy Halliday: I look forward to thousands of fines at protest rallies, retail opens, hospitality opens, use public transport they said, send your kids to school they said, go back to the office they said. And now they’re stunned at increased positive tests… abs clueless the lot of them.

Scotty Abdale:

The government cant change the law on a whim. That would be tyrannical.... oh wait just look whats going on all on the back of a test not fit for purpose.

Barry Marshall: Simply a response to irresponsible people not complying with clear instructions issued for the good of everyone.... what do you expect?

Robert Surtees: And who going to police this. Not the police they don't have manpower. Talking a loads of tripe.

Sharon Bell: Except for weddings funerals work or education so every day normal life then lol

Tracy Butler: Does this mean the pubs are closing again?

Tali Bhangu: But the Nightingale hospitals lie empty so this is really about something else now.

Paul Burlinson: Not everyone needs hospital treatment.

Adam Appleby: It's about preventing it being needed.

Tali Bhangu: Imagine this will go on and on until its finally over. But then the next virus will come and it will start all over again - cos viruses are a fact of life. But we wont even know what real life is any more, so that's okay. We'll just accept it as the new way of life. And that’s okay cos we will all be 'safe'.. (As our family and friends lie dying of cancer cos they weren't diagnosed in time and cant get proper treatment... ).
