STORY:

New rules on how to safely meet and socialise with other people during the coronavirus outbreak have been announced in England this week.

Dean Marshall:

If you read the list of exemptions, the only place you can’t meet up is in your house! Anywhere else, crack on! Total madness!

Bob Murray: I'll keep my distance, wear a mask and wash my hands, it was good enough in lockdown, they can stuff the rest.

Kelly Brooks: But you’re allowed 30 at a wedding, 30 at a funeral, 30 in a class but only six in the house still play sports while going to a pub.

Dawn Hume: He will be doing another u turn within the next few days, then everything will change again.

Hazel Burlinson: What is the answer when you are already on holiday and there is seven in group.

Kay Armstrong: In Spain if you are on the street, in shops or anywhere masks are obligatory and for someone isn’t wearing one or it’s under their nose it’s a €100 on the spot fine and the police who are checking won’t leave you until they get it. So many people here flout the rules it’s ridiculous do we want to go back to all the deaths again. If you don’t like it well tough. You may have the disease without realising it and you can infect so many people. Pregnant women, etc. Wear your mask. If you don’t like them wear a plastic shield. It’s common sense.

Peter Chamberlayne:

Who is going to be a "Covid Marshall" & walk into a pub & turn a match off because more than six are watching it. Or walk into someone's house when a family party or BBQ is in full swing, and the alcohol abundant. You would have to have a death wish to take on that job. Good luck to the "Covid Marshalls" tasked with walking the streets of our city estates. Boris has gone too far this time.

David Oliver: Boris is taking the country into a dictatorship and the people are allowing it to happen this time next year you will need a microchip to leave your house. The people need to stop spending money bankrupt the country 100% unemployed. We can start again in a free world if we do nothing the people will be slaves for evermore.

Simon Delaney: It’s about divide and conquer.
