And after shedding five stone on their programme, she decided to help others and became a consultant in September 1995.

Over the course of 25 years, Lillian has helped countless people improve their health and self confidence through

Slimming World – and says she has loved every minute of it.

Now, a quarter of a century later, Lillian is reflecting on

her time supporting various groups but has no desire to stop just yet.

She said: “If you had told me when I first joined I’d still be doing this 25 years later I would have never believed you. I suppose it’s just because I simply enjoy helping others. Over the years I’ve seen some amazing results and seen how lives can change for the better.

"I have no plans for slowing down. I want to continue doing this and continue helping people until my body stops letting me.”

Du r i n g h e r 2 5 yea r s a s a consultant, former office worker Lillian has seen Slimming World move from paper, to digital, to virtual classes earlier this year during the coronavirus lockdown.

L i l l i a n , wh o i s a g re atg r a n d m o t h e r, r u n s h e r classes every week at the Millenium Centre in Washington and currently has over 150 members on her books.
