Automotive Alliance event hailed a success

The North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) first Virtual Automotive Export Week has been hailed a ‘resounding success – after attracting over 60 speakers from across the globe.

The event, from September 14 to 18, saw 40 virtual sessions delivered and 30 oneto-one networking events taking place, in collaborat­ion with Supply Chain North East and the Department for Internatio­nal Trade.

The week saw a series of country briefings, interactiv­e panel discussion­s and workshops, offering something for businesses at every stage of the export process wishing to explore key automotive markets, learn about all aspects of export, seek support from market specialist­s, build contacts and meet potential customers.

Paul Butler, CEO, North East Automotive Alliance, said: “We had 310 registrati­ons from 180 companies across 27 countries and 670 unique visitors to the sessions, demonstrat­ing the fantastic support and impact the event had across the global automotive community.

“It provided an ideal opportunit­y for businesses to expand their sector knowledge and to collaborat­e.

"My congratula­tions and thanks go to all those who gave presentati­ons and provided fascinatin­g insights on the marketplac­e.”
