STORY:

Further restrictions for North East pubs and restaurants could be implemented as hospital admissions increase.

George Conlon: No outbreaks linked to pubs just odd cases pubs open for three months now. People coming back from Magaluf it flew here the first time now boris letting it happen again. Incorrect use of masks is the biggest problem watching what people do, observe for yourself. Touching mask touching money touching etc. It's common sense how it's spreading.

Denise Gregory: People are being told not to touch masks but then are told once seated in a bar or restaurant to take the masks off then if they need the toilet to put them back on until their seated again and then take them off until they stand up to leave and of course they have to put them back on.

George Chisz Chisholm:

It’s not the pubs n clubs from what i see they're all breaking their backs to keep open n keep people safe. There’s some places i’ve seen more to blame and individuals.

Gary Cairns: I may be wrong but I’m sure cases started to go up when the A level results came out and people going back to universities.

Neil Brown: Interesting that the media seem to know government plans before they've even been announced. It's almost as if they're putting the information out to wait for a response. If there's not much negative feedback, then they'll announce the new measures. If there's an outcry, then it may not happen and government will retract and say they 'got it wrong'. It's kind of a 'win/win' situation for 'em.

Emily Hendry Natton:

Disgrace closing pubs again what about their livelihoods, never hear a peep about closing pubs down London, before long all the people up north will be chipped.

Susan Brooks: Long as u close the ones in Westminster as well!

David Gooch: People will just have house parties.

Phil Johnson:

Michael O'Hara; It's shops /works / and schools just look at all the %.

Liam Mcmanus: As safe in most restaurants as anywhere. Absolute joke!
