Won’t get rid of Donald

-

You could hear the "copters" sound As it raced across the ground, And the clatter of the rotor blades As they span round and round. He strode across the White House lawn The pride it filled his chest, His name was Donald

The most deluded leader in the West. Now Donald had a rival with an even more faked tan

Called sleepy Joe from Delawere, The Democrats chosen man. He was old and past his peak But Joe led the opinion polls Each and every week. Summer turned to autumn And there was something in the air, A nasty virus from the East But Donald didn't care. He wouldn't wear a face mask As he thought he knew best, But all he ended up with was a positive covid test. They took him to the hospital But the docs he did amaze, Despite their protestations He was back at work in days. He was back out on the campaign trail It was now win or bust, But when the postal votes came in Poor Donald bit the dust. Donald had to pack his bags But he didn't want to leave, Then strange things happened to Joe's smartphone on inauguration eve Were there more texts from family Or congratulations from his son

Or endless tweets from Donald Still claiming he had won? They won't get rid of Donald The most deluded leader in the West.

Scott Andrews, Ryhope.
