'Scenes of chaos' as crowds appear to flout Covid rules in Durham city centre

Paul Emerson: I feel sorry for the driver, trying to drive through the narrow street with that annoying woman droning on pretending to be outraged. Surprised he didn't 'crash' into any pedestrians.

Paul Johnson: now tell the government we are all doing our bit in the Northeast

Bri Davison: This is what happens when you leave a generation to do what they want, with no discipline or consequences for their actions, you reap what you sow.

Les Gibbs: Bri Davison totally agree. A section of society who think they are above rules. Thats what happens when you pamper brats.

Irene Johnston: 400 Durham students tested positive, this does not look as though they are isolating.

Minhas Mohammed Ilyas:

Nobody really cares here, they can complain about this and that but when it comes to following the regulations, they make fun of it , saying the PM is going nuts. They themselves dont know what they doing. But at least the PM is trying but whats the excuse the people have? Hope for the best may every soul we lost due to the virus be in rest and those alive stay safe. I lost 4 people in my relatives so far.

Simon Blakeston: It'll be the southerners at the uni who have no respect for the north

Alison Mason: It's because of idiots like these that we will end up in Tier 3

Trevor Rogers: Bring back conscription!!

Louise Lloyd: It's the likes of these morons that will push us into the next tier.

Karen Khan: Thick as mince. Are they fining these idiots? That's the only way it MIGHT get through.

Ian Holt: Two words … National Service

David Rose: My opinion is that since student came back to Sunderland we have spiked. Send them home till we get level down again

Neil Heskett: Anybody been food shopping since the pandemic every supermarket is like this everyday but nothing gets mentioned about that

Brian Kirby Geordie:

Shut the university’s down and send them all home to there parents .Thats all these universities are good for baby sitting other people’s kids Why should the people of Durham and other city’s put up with all these kids spreading the virus around

Alma Richardson: Result of indisciplined children having children. Nuff said
